Social Media tools.

In these times in which social networks are something so essential for any company tools have appeared to unify all these and be able to take better control over them. We have been curious about how they work and if it would be profitable to introduce them into the operation of the company. In the market there are many options such as Agora Pulse, Hootsuite, Sprout Social or Sprinklr among others, but this time we decided to analyze Sprout Social post-sproutsocial

The reason?

Sprout Social offers a free 30-day trial version without providing credit card details, unlike most other platforms that offer a free trial but it is necessary to give your credit card details. Before we start, let's explain what Sprout Social. A company dedicated to the creation of social network management software. They offer the possibility to unify Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+ and Instagram among others in a single platform so that users have a greater control of their networks, improve communication with their customers and evaluate the effectiveness of their efforts. In the case of Sprout Social it has three plans, each with more tools than the previous and three different prices. In the basic plan called Premium they offer:
  • Fully managed networks
  • Single inbox tray
  • Analysis of profiles, locations and keywords in the industry
  • Creation, programming and publication in all networks centrally
  • Creation of a content calendar
  • Reports of all the profiles
  • Allows 10 social media profiles
We will analyze this plan to see what they offer in the most basic option of their catalogue. When entering Sprout Social we find a main screen with some recommendations on how to have all the information of our profiles and identify in which market the company is located. In addition, on this page we are notified of new messages, if there is an open task (a task can be to prepare a publication, respond to comments, messages, etc.) and daily interactions. In the top bar there are 4 icons: Inbox, publish, discover and reports. We will explain what each of these screens offers. If we go to the inbox, we find an inbox in which all the profiles in company networks that are introduced in Sprout Social are unified. The intention is to facilitate communication with followers. This tray allows you to see new followers, comments, interactions, mentions, direct messages, etc. On the other hand, there is also a smart tray which allows you to search for keywords that are related to the company so you can find potential customers or see what is being discussed in networks regarding those issues. In the next section, publish, we find several options. To start, a calendar appears in which you can see the content sent and the next one to be sent. Because this platform offers the possibility of leaving future publications ready, indicating the day and time of publication or leaving the platform itself to publish your post at the time you can get more audience. Then, in discovering, Sprout Social offers, as we have previously commented, the possibility of introducing keywords that are related to the company or words that may be of interest to find potential customers or know that comments are made on networks about those topics. This can help to know what topics to deal with in the profiles we have and enter into conversation with other users. The last section is the one that can provide more information to the company, reports. When entering into this section we find several types of reports. We can highlight the group that introduces the growth and status of the profiles of the company. The comparison with Twitter that allows us to analyze our profile with the profile of companies that we can consider competitors. The same, but in a unified way, occurs with the Facebook competitors report where we are allowed to add up to 20 competitors in Facebook and analyze the growth of the accounts, messages and publications of each of them. These reports can also be done with Instagram and linkedin. In the reports of each network the impact caused with each publication is shown to analyze the results according to the effort. As we have already mentioned, this platform offers three different plans with different prices and characteristics. Prices range between 99 and 249 and after having tested the Premium option for 30 days, we would highlight that it is a platform that unifies all the profiles and can help organize publications and know what results they bring ... but if the company has only with a few profiles we consider that the price is excessive and we would not choose to use this platform. On the other hand, companies that must be very active in networks and handle a large number of profiles might see in this a great tool to carry their social networks day by day. To finish we want to comment that not all social media tools have these prices, you can find cheaper or more expensive options. We chose to analyze this one simply because of the facilities at the time of starting the trial period without having to provide credit card details.
